Visit our special website where you will find video podcasts from a cross section of professionals, writers, educationalists and business and media people. Each speaker offers a unique perspective on children and their lives in Ireland in 2011 and the kinds of primary schools we need. It’s food for thought as we begin an exciting phase of work to develop an integrated language curriculum for primary schools. www.childrentheirlivestheirlearning.ie

Innovation happens:classrooms as sites of change

When was the last time you heard about innovation -- not just in conversations about our economy but also about our culture and society? Have you thought about innovation happening in real classrooms and early years settings? These are some of the questions the NCCA has been asking in the Innovation happens video and paper which aim to put schools back in the picture... and the conversation... about innovation today!

Six ideas about innovation in education provide the focus for the video and paper. Each begins with a question to you, the viewer/reader and we invite you to share your views with us.
