Welcome to the consultation on Reporting in Junior Cycle.
The consultation is open until 6th June 2016.
We will be engaging with a range of audiences including teachers, school leaders, parents, students, educational partners, and other members of the general public. It is envisaged that the material presented in this document, subject to your feedback, will be included in the guidelines on reporting under development by the NCCA. The guidelines are due for completion and publication in September.
The main focus of the consultation is on the approach being taken to reporting and the templates to be used in this context. Discussion of the technical and logistical arrangements for implementing the new reporting arrangements are ongoing and will continue beyond the period of the consultation.
The work to date takes cognisance of existing good practice and experience of reporting in Irish post-primary schools and also of developments in reporting internationally. In this context, material developed in the preparation of Reporting in Junior Cycle are presented below. Consultation materials designed to support engagement in this process have been developed and are available below. We look forward to your contribution.
