Self-assessment and peer-assessment: senior infants

In this story we see how the teacher encourages the children to use self-assessment and peer-assessment tasks to see what the children in her senior infants class know in terms of vocabulary related to animals, after doing some work on this topic (in the theme sa bhaile). Although the children have not yet begun to read or write in Gaeilge, the teacher has enabled the children to create a written record of their learning using pictures in a portfolio copybook.
