Towards Learningsets out that vision, the values on which it is based and the principles that are shaping the review and development of senior cycle curriculum and assessment. It also provides information on the senior cycle curriculum, key skills, assessment and certification, and learning in senior cycle.

All developments at senior cycle place the learner as the focus of the educational experience. That experience will enable learners to become resourceful and confident, to participate actively in society, to build an interest in learning and the ability to learn throughout their lives.
