Syllabus
A new Leaving Certificate Applied Mathematics specification is in development. The current Leaving Certificate Applied Mathematics syllabus is available here. It is assessed at Higher and Ordinary levels.

Subject Development
The development of a new Leaving Certificate Applied Mathematics specification began in November 2014.
The background paper and consultation report for Leaving Certificate Applied Mathematics explores the development of the subject at senior cycle; highlights good practice at home and abroad; and to uses evidence-based research to inform the revision of the specification.
The Applied Mathematics Development Group consists of the nominees from a range of education stakeholders including teacher and management bodies, Department of Education and Skills, and the State Examinations Commission.
